We take complaints seriously. We aim to resolve issues directly, quickly, and fairly.

What can you complain about

  • Accuracy, misleading presentation, missing context

  • Attribution/credits/copyright concerns

  • Privacy, harassment, discrimination

  • Undisclosed conflicts of interest

  • Sponsored content not clearly labelled

  • Any breach of our Editorial Standards & Ethics

How to complain

Please include:

  • URL

  • What happened and why it matters

  • What outcome do you seek (correction, clarification, credit update, removal, apology)

  • supporting evidence (links, screenshots, documents)

Our process

  1. Acknowledge within [5 business days]

  2. Assign to an editor (not involved where possible)

  3. Investigate (review notes, sources, and relevant materials)

  4. Decide & respond in writing with reasons and actions

Timeframe

We aim to conclude most complaints within [21 days].

Possible outcomes

  • Correction/clarification/update note

  • Credit/attribution changes

  • Adding disclosure (sponsorship/conflict/AI)

  • Removal or retraction (rare, when necessary)

  • Explanation for no change (with reasons)

Escalation (independent oversight)

We are pursuing recognised independent oversight in line with UK and international best practice ([choose: IPSO / IMPRESS]).

When our membership is active, complainants who remain dissatisfied may escalate to the independent regulator following our final response.
